Retrieve a blade from source control

Here’s how to retrieve a blade from a managed version of the Caplin Platform Deployment Framework that’s been added to a source control system, and set it up on another machine.

If you’ve not previously installed the Deployment Framework on the target machine, just follow the instructions in How can I …​ Retrieve the Deployment Framework from source control. When you deploy the Framework the blade kits that come with it will be deployed as well.

Conversely, if the Deployment Framework is already installed on the target machine:

  • Locate the blade kit in the <Framework-root>/kits/ directory of the Deployment Framework in source control.

  • Use the relevant source control commands to retrieve the blade to the <Framework-root>/kits/ directory of the Deployment Framework on the target machine.

  • Deploy the blade: see (as appropriate)
