Hardware
Minimum hardware specification:

Permission to edit the hosts file (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Software
Install the following software packages on training computers prior to training. Before installing, read Setting up the development environment.

OpenJDK 8 or OpenJDK 11, with the
JAVA_HOME
environment variable set to the installation root of the JDK (see Installing Java) -
Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers (64-bit) or JetBrain’s IntelliJ IDEA

(Windows only) Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015

(Windows only) Cygwin or Git for Windows
Caplin products are not supported on the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
Download the following Caplin files in advance of the training and make them available to learners in the lesson:

Network access
Each training computer must have Internet access (for downloading software) and be accessible on the network by a fully-qualified host name.
